Dandelion

Ask any woman who’s been through it: fertility is a numbers game.

Weeks spent trying to get pregnant become months, even years.
Eggs are counted, extracted, discarded, implanted, rejected, accepted.
Life becomes a carefully plotted calendar of cycles, pills, procedures, losses.

The sum of struggling with it weighs heavy, yet largely unspoken.

And so women remain alone, fixating on their only source of control – the numbers – looking to dark corners of the internet for comfort. Keeping painstaking count, same as their pregnant friends, but in a starkly different reality.
